There are some new directions for all Eucharistic Ministers. Father Kieran is now using a large chalice with a lip on it. This emphasizes the one cup.
- The first Minister must now bring the Ciborium from the Tabernacle plus the pix which contains the square hosts which are gluten free and cannot be mixed with the other hosts which contain wheat. These will be left on the altar. If a communicant requests a gluten free host collect one from the pix.
- The Minister standing on the left of the altar must now collect 2 chalice from the credence table. Do this as the Minister goes to the to the Tabernacle. Wait until Father has received communion before placing them on the Altar on or near the corporal (the cloth).
- After communion take the large chalice from the altar and purify it in the usual way.
- Please remember to leave the altar by the side doorway not walk across the altar. This is a sign of reverence and as Ministers we should give a good example.
