First Holy Communion 2011
This is the last week for registering your child for First Communions 2011. The Registration form is now in the porch and online http://www.sacred-heart.co.uk/sacraments Please return with £20 fee before next Sunday, 5th September.
St Thomas’
At the recent meetings of the Council of Priests, Trustees, and College of Consulters, it has been agreed with the approval of the Bishop, that St Thomas ‘is to be de-commissioned and de-consecrated as a church building and converted into a community centre serving the needs of the parish and the wider community. This is in keeping with the mind of the overall opinion from the parish census taken a few months ago in referendum. The work of re-conversion into a community centre will be delayed until the necessary funds are available to carry out this work. I would welcome your opinions as to what you would like to see developed within the building which would strengthen community activity. The building will not be made available to any other denomination to hold Services there. The title of the Parish will now be known as the Parish of the Sacred Heart serving, Caterham, Godstone and Whyteleafe.
