SUNDAY EVENING MASS   This Mass will continue at Sacred Heart, 5.15pm, until further notice.  Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

BISHOP KIERAN   Our thanks to Bishop Kieran for coming to the open meeting on Wednesday.  There was a good turnout, despite the weather!  If you missed this opportunity to put your questions to the Bishop, he has agreed to return to the parish in September.

LENTEN READINGS   On the entrance to the Sacred Heart there is a variety of Books and Booklets for Lenten Readings for adults and children.  Please take a look.

PRE CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME   The second session is tonight, 28 February in the Old Hall at 7.00 pm for one hour.  

DAY OUT   St Patrick’s Show in Brick Lane Music Hall, London, on Monday, 15 March. If you would like to come along, please add your name to the list in the porch.  The cost is £30 per person this includes the show, afternoon tea & return coach.  Departing at 12 noon and returning by 6 pm. All the tickets have now been booked without refund.  Please pay for your ticket as soon as possible, cash or cheque (made payable to the “Sacred Heart”).

LUNCH CLUB    The next Lunch Club will be on Wednesday, 3 March 2010 at 12.30pm

STATIONS OF THE CROSS At the Wednesday morning Masses during Lent we meditate on 3 Stations.

PRAYER GROUP   The prayer group will meet on Thursday, 4 March 2010 at 8pm in the Sacristy.  There is a book in the porch for you to write down your prayer intentions.  All Welcome.

CHRISM MASS   A coach will be organised for the Chrism Mass at Arundel Cathedral for Wednesday, 31 March 2010.  There is a list at the back of the church. The cost will be £15.50 per person.

CHRISM MASS   Singers wanted for the Chrism Mass on Wednesday, 31 March at the 6.00 pm mass in Arundel Cathedral.  Rehearsals Saturday, 13 March 2-3.30 pm in St Mary’s Hall, Arundel; Saturday, 20 March between 1.30 – 3 pm in St Joseph’s Church Guildford and on Wednesday, 31 March at 4.30 pm in Arundel Cathedral.

GOOD FRIDAY   Wintershall have been granted permission to stage the Passion of Jesus in Trafalgar Square on Good Friday, 2 April, starting at 3.15 pm.

CAFOD IRISH NIGHT   Saturday, 20 March.  £10 adults, £6 children. Includes 2-course Irish supper with traditional live music.  If you are unable to come along to support this worthy cause, a raffle prize or small donation would be greatly appreciated.  Tickets on sale after Masses next weekend or telephone Chris 01883 343404 or Biddy 01883 345749 for tickets or donations.

WOMENS WORLD DAY OF PRAYER   This takes place on Friday, 5 March starting at 10.45 am at the  Douglas Brunton Centre, 2.00 pm at Oakhall Church and 7.30 pm at St Mary’s Church, all in Caterham.

Holy Communion parent's session 2   Please note that this will now be held on Wednesday, 10 March, 8pm, Old Hall.

PARISH WOMEN’S GROUP A.G.M.   Meeting in the Old Hall on Wednesday, 3 March starting at 7.30 pm.  Newcomers welcome.

CAFOD   Cafod have pledged over £1 million towards the Haiti relief work.  They extend their sincere thanks to all who contributed to the emergency collection.

WORLD YOUTH DAY 2011   Application packs are being sent out at the end of the month to all who have applied. Please contact Lucy Jardine at DABCEC

OBERAMMERGAU   Win a trip for two to Oberammergau in September. Funds raised will help towards organising a pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Madrid.  Only 200 tickets will be sold at £20 per ticket and the draw will take place on Thursday, 15 April.  Contact Lucy at DABCEC 01293-651162.

CONFIRMATIONS AND PRE CONFIRMATION GROUPS - ENCOUNTER   On Saturday, 17 April from mid-day – 6.00 pm at St Wilfrid’s School, Crawley, there is a day to Encounter God’s love through praise, worship, adoration, workshops and other people. The coach will leave from the Sacred Heart Church at 11.00 am for all in Years 9 and 10.  Admission is FREE.  Sign up please in the preparation sessions with your Catechists.

MASS OF HEALING    Mass of Healing to conclude with traditional Benediction on Friday, 5 March  at 10 am.

R.I.P.  Please remember in your prayers Loretta Reynolds (Sheelagh Dunne’s mum) who died recently.  May she rest in peace.
