Christmas Fayre:  Our Christmas  Fayre is on Sunday 27th November following the 10.30 am Mass until around 2 pm. This week we appeal for BOTTLES, JEWELLERY, BRIC_A_BRAC, GIFTS.  Please bring them to the Mass with you and leave them in the Sacristy. Other items we will be appealing for are - Cosmetics, Toiletries, Christmas Decorations and Cakes. Please note we are NOT appealing for Books or Toys.

100th Birthday  On behalf of our mother Kit Monk, our family would like to thank you for ensuring her day was so special. She was overwhelmed with the Cards , Masses, flowers and gifts that many of you sent her. It was truly a memorable day. Unfortunately she is still recovering from a broken shoulder. So we were not able to bring her to Mass. A Mass will be said for your intentions—Joy Cutler.

Variety Show   The tickets for this have now completely sold out.

Blessing of graves  A Service of Blessing of graves at St Mary’s cemetery, will take place this afternoon at 3 pm.

Marriage Anniversary Mass/ Catenians  The annual Marriage anniversary Mass will be celebrated here  on Thursday 10th November at 7.30 pm  Anyone wishing to renew their marriage vows may do so at this Mass.  The Mass itself is offered for the deceased members of the Catenians. There will be supper after the Mass for all to enjoy @ £9 per head. We will need some idea of numbers in advance so if it is your intention to stay for supper please contact  ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Eucharistic Congress—Dublin    I will leave the signing-on sheet in the porch until the middle of November.  If you think you would be interested in coming to this, (depending on cost) can you put your name down on the sheet. It’s non committal at this stage but it helps us gauge the level of interest. The numbers will be limited. 

Tuesday The 10 am Mass on Tuesday will be for all the deceased clergy of the Redhill Deanery. Fr Christopher Spain, our new Dean will officiate along with the other Priests from the Deanery.

Holy Souls   The Holy Souls envelopes are  in the porch accompanied with a sheet of paper to write  the names of your beloved deceased. Only use the brown envelope if you wish to have a Mass said for the Holy Souls and include the £10 stipend. You can put the envelopes through the presbytery door or into the offertory basket. If you do not wish to have a Mass said, then use the white sheet on its own without placing it into the envelope.

Craft  'Christmas Craft evening for the Christmas Fayre, Tuesday 13th November 7.45pm, above bar in the committee room.  You don't need to be crafty, just willing! Bring anything you feel would be handy or just yourself. All are welcome.'

Parish Youth  The youth of the Parish have been invited to join in the celebration of the 30th Youth Anniversary on 19th November. A poster with details can be found on the notice board. E-mails have been sent to the confirmation group. If anyone is interested in going please contact Marion 01883 348223. Numbers for catering have been requested by DABCEC asap

Operation Christmas Child – Shoeboxes If you would like to make up a shoebox to send to children in other countries for Christmas, please leave them at the back of the Church and they will be collected each week after the 10.30 mass. Pick up a leaflet with more details at the back of the Church and pinned to the noticeboard is a list of the types of items to include (and those not to include). Further information can also be found at the following website: www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk. Last day to leave boxes will be Sunday 20th November. Thank you in advance for your donated boxes. Older Children's Liturgy  Could all parents please make sure that their children come through to the liturgy without anything in their hands, pockets or bags that is likely to distract them or others during the session. Many thanks.

C.O.A.T.   The Surrey Harmony Women’s barbershop chorus will be presenting their concert on Saturday November 26th at 7.30 pm in St John’s Church, Clareville Road, Caterham. Tickets £10 (to include a glass of wine) from Ann Walker 01883 624773.

Missionary Appeal  Next Sunday Fr John Kway will celebrate Mass and speak on the work of the Holy Ghost Fathers. There will be a special retiring Collection towards this appeal.

R.I.P.  Yours prayers are requested for the repose of the souls of Jacqueline Mathilde Gilly and James Corcoran who died this week. Time and day  of their Requiem Mass under Mass Times. May they rest in peace.

ExxonMobil   This week we received a cheque from Exxonmobile for £750 towards our parish development funds. Sincere thanks to Ingrid Ciccardini who successfully applied for funding through the Volunteer Involvement Programme.
