Fr. Kieran  We welcome once again Fr. Ken McCarthy, stepping in to cover until October 20th while Fr. Kieran regains his strength to return to active Ministry which hopefully should be at the end of the month depending on his doctor's prognosis.  He sends his sincere thanks to all of you for your get well cards, wishes and prayers.

Second Collection The Second Collection today is for CAFOD Harvest Fast Day.  You can use on of the envelopes which are in the porch.

Baptisms  Next Saturday Benedict Earl-Hills will be Baptised.

School Forms If you have any School Forms in need of signing, please give them to Elizabeth Hubbard-Brown, the Sacristan after any of the Masses.  Fr. Kieran will sign them as soon as he can.

Eucharistic Ministers   If you still haven’t signed on for the  reflection day  at St Cuthmans—Sunday  30th October commencing at 11 am, please do so today.  Sheet in porch. Barbara Hopper leading both days.  Mass at 12 noon there.

Eucharistic Ministers Next year's Eucharistic Congress is in Dublin, from June 10th - 17th.  It's theme is "The Eucharist:  Communion with Christ and with one another".  Cardinal Cormac is very keen that as many from the UK attend this Congress as possible in an act of solidarity and thanksgiving for the fait of the Irish Church that sent thousands of it's priests, nuns and lay missionaries worldwide and also as an act of healing for the difficult and distressing time the church there has undergone in recent times.  Fr. Kieran will lead the parish pilgrimage but he is also appealing for a group of you to help him with the organising.  If you think you might be able to help, please let him known on his return to duty.  The trip to Dublin will also be combined with some sightseeing and an occasional visit no doubt to an Irish pub where I'm sure Fr. Kieran will lead a good old Irish style singsong on the piano as he did I believe whilst in Lourdes.  So the trip will cater for body and soul.  More details to follow.  For comprehensive information on the Congress refer to www.iec2012.ie.

Variety Show There will be a Parish Variety Show in the Centenary Hall on Saturday 19th November starting around 7.30 p.m.  Make a note in your diary.  It will follow along similar lines to the show in Woldingham School a couple of years' ago which was a resounding success.  Tickets should be available from the end of Oct/early November at around £10 to hopefully include a fish & chip supper.  More details to follow.

Recital  Peter Barraclough is giving an organ recital at St. Mary's, Old Coulsdon on Sunday 16th October at 4 p.m., to include Handel and many other composers.

Newsletter  Items to be included in next week's newsletter to arrive in the Parish Office by hand or by email no later than 6 p.m. on Thursday night.
